The Software Developer will sit within the WRA's Developer team and will be assigned to a multi-disciplinary team brought together to deliver the Visitor Levy for Wales. This is a new tax service, which is supported by a new Visitor Accommodation Register. The Developer team sits within the Digital & Technology team, who are responsible for the delivery of all IT-related services within the WRA by providing infrastructure, applications and services. You will be responsible for building and supporting software to meet the needs of both internal and external users. This includes front end JavaScript applications and back-end .NET API services. You will use agreed specifications to design, code and test programs, using the right standards and tools. This includes building interfaces between systems, or working on more complex user focussed applications as part of the wider team. You will use modern standards and provide some coaching and mentoring to junior colleagues. The solutions and services you design will have security mitigation controls embedded as a core part of the solution. ?We are a fully cloud-based organisation with an ambition to deliver efficient and intuitive digital solutions for new taxes.?
