Job Description

Brand new role created, Head of / Commercial Director Level, this role will target all of Omio's non-core markets. Would suit an ex-management Consultant or Banking profile.

London (UK Remote) or Berlin office locations.

This global role is ideal for a highly driven individual with a strong commercial mindset and the flexibility to travel frequently, meeting new suppliers and closing high-level deals with CXO stakeholders, passport ready!

Help with Omio’s Global Expansion: Drive Impact, Close Deals, and empower global travellers to discover, book, and enjoy seamless journeys across transportation modes — anywhere in the world.

We are seeking a bold, strategic, and entrepreneurial Global Business Expansion Leader to define and execute Omio’s next chapter of growth. In this high-impact role, you will spearhead our global inventory expansion, focusing on non-core and emerging markets to unlock new revenue streams and accelerate international sales.

You are a driven deal-maker and world-class relationship builder with a passion for scaling businesses across borders. As a global traveller and commercial leader, you’ll thrive on navigating complexity, spotting opportunity, and forging high-value partnerships that shape the future of travel.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Set the Vision & Strategy: Design and lead a comprehensive global expansion roadmap to grow Omio’s inventory footprint in high-potential, underdeveloped regions.


2. Own Commercial Growth: Build and lead a high-performing regional sales and business development team focused on ambitious sales and revenue targets.

3. Be the Face of Omio: Growing new relationships, representing the company in person at senior levels across our targeted industries globally.

4. Negotiate Like a Pro: Drive complex, high-value commercial partnerships and negotiations with C-level stakeholders and strategic partners worldwide.

5. Collaborate to Win: Partner cross-functionally with senior leaders across Finance, Product, Engineering, Marketing, and CS to drive alignment and deliver on global business objectives.

Qualifications

6. 8+ years of business and commercial/finance or consulting background
7. 5+ years of experience leading a sales team to achieve ambitious sales targets
8. Experience in a fast-growth startup environment - ideally within the tech industry
9. Passion and experience in developing successful teams
10. Success record in complex commercial negotiations with high-profile international clients
11. Success record of regional and product launches
12. Experience managing operations in a scalable way
13. Proven ability to work and drive cross-functional deliverables
14. An innovative mindset to go beyond standards and legacy of the industry today
15. Fluent in English; another language a plus!
