THE COMMERCIAL TEAM
Our Commercial team is a national group, with teams across each AG office working together on national and cross border transactions. The Leeds team is ranked in Tier 1 for IT with an enviable client base across private and public sector clients. In respect of digital transformation projects, the team handles some of the largest, most complex deals in this market.
You can expect to be involved in a range of work types for private sector and public sector clients including tech transformations, cloud and SaaS arrangements, IT outsourcing, business process outsourcing, facilities management outsourcing, logistics, IT licences, & commercial contracts.
This is a high performing, cohesive and busy team with excellent prospects for career development, and secondments, if you want them.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
We are looking for a strong tech and commercial lawyer with experience of at least one of the following sectors: retail & consumer, financial services, advanced manufacturing, transport, and health. You will take responsibility as an advisor on a range matters, in addition to working as part of a team.
You will manage your own workload and have good project management skills as well as supporting as part of a team on larger projects, handling a spread of tech and commercial work. Your focus will be to build relationships with clients and to handle all of their commercial needs.
As an Associate in the team you will play a key part in shaping and driving the development of more junior team members and there will be plenty of opportunity for you to take on additional marketing and team responsibility and advance your career.
MORE ABOUT YOU
1. To be able to advise at the level required in this role, we expect that you will have gained a minimum of 2 years' post qualification experience or 2 years post qualification experience in a comparable practice or in-house.
2. You must be a qualified lawyer with some experience of IT, technology and outsourcing matters, with exposure to private sector and/or public sector clients.
