A K Industries (AKI) is a well-established injection moulding business based in Rotherwas, Hereford, supplying high-quality plastic components to a wide range of industries. As a growing SME committed to quality, innovation, and continuous improvement, we are recruiting for a quaified and experienced Part-Time Management Accountant.
Working Pattern:
22.5 hours per week over 3 or 4 days
OR
15 hours over 2 or 3 days

This is a hands-on finance role where you'll report to the Managing Director and work closely with the management team. You'll play a key role in improving our financial systems, managing monthly and annual reporting, and supporting long-term planning and compliance across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare monthly management accounts, forecasts, and cash flow reports
* Oversee VAT returns, payroll checks, and pension submissions
* Manage the year-end audit process and liaise with auditors and tax advisors
* Reconcile balance sheets, stock valuations, and project accounting
* Improve and document financial controls and procedures (aligned with ISO 13485)
* Lead on budgeting and reforecasting (every 6 months)
* Support and mentor the finance team, overseeing ERP and ledger processes
* Work with our ERP system (WinMan) to identify and resolve anomalies and improve reporting
Requirements:
Essential:
* CIMA, ACA or ACCA fully qualified
* Significant experience in SME finance management (manufacturing preferred)
* Experience overseeing payroll and managing VAT
* Excellent Excel and Microsoft Office skills
* Strong communicator with the ability to influence at all levels
* Confident working with ERP systems
Desirable:
* Experience with Sage, Tensor, or ISO 13485
* Advanced Excel knowledge
* Understanding of manufacturing cost controls and stock reconciliation
