Overview
Electrical Maintenance Technician – Permanent role, 37 core hours per week. Location: base at Cramlington, Northumberland with travel to sites across the area. Mobile worker with van and fuel card provided.
Responsibilities
* Perform fault diagnosis and preventative maintenance to improve plant availability.
* Work on a range of equipment including PLCs, telemetry, level control and variable speed drives.
* Operate as a fully mobile technician, with start and finish from home and use provided tools and equipment to minimise plant downtime.
* Participate in an out-of-hours standby rota; complete required training and undertake standby, callouts and any additional hours as needed.
Requirements / What We Look For
* Time-served Electrical Technician with ONC/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
* Maintenance background in reactive breakdowns and planned work; able to read electrical drawings and fault-find, identify root cause and replace faulty components.
* Can-do attitude, willingness to learn, hands-on practical approach, and strong problem-solving skills to identify root causes and implement solutions.
* Excellent communication skills and a team orientation; strong Health and Safety ethic.
* Full UK driving licence is essential.

* Salary up to £42,056 with overtime and standby payments (OTE £6,000 in overtime, standby and callout payments).
* Potential to receive payment for up to 4 Technical Modules (£1,500 per module per year) with expectation that each Technician achieves a minimum of 2 modules within 3 years.
