Hays are proud to be working with a reputable global organisation who are looking to add a Payroll Assistant to their team based in Edinburgh. This is an exciting opportunity for a payroll professional who is looking to progress in their career and be involved in the continuous improvement of their finance function.
Your new role
Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for:
1. Preparing and processing monthly payroll
2. Resolving queries for internal and external stakeholders
3. Supporting with month/year end.
4. Payroll journal reconciliations
5. Maintaining records
6. Creating payroll reports
7. Involvement in continuous improvement of the payroll function.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed, you will be an experienced and ambitious payroll professional who is able to adapt quickly to new tasks. You will be able tomunicate effectively at all levels within an organisation and having language skills is also beneficial. Being proactive is key to this role, and you will have a desire to get involved in the continuous improvement of the payroll function.
