2-3 month contract role with a Local Authority Job Summary: • Plan, schedule, and coordinate responsive and programmed repairs within a social housing environment. • Ensure optimal allocation of operatives and subcontractors to maximise productivity and meet service targets. • Act as a key point of contact for residents, managing appointments, resolving issues, and maintaining high customer service standards. • Work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment handling complex, multi-trade repair workflows. Key Duties/Accountabilities (Sample): • Schedule and manage repair appointments, ensuring the right operatives are assigned efficiently. • Coordinate multiple trades and subcontractors for complex and interdependent repair works. • Monitor real-time schedules and proactively adjust to avoid service failures or missed appointments. • Prioritise emergency and urgent repairs in line with statutory and policy requirements. • Liaise with residents, internal teams, and external contractors to ensure smooth service delivery. • Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and service recovery with professionalism. • Raise and manage work orders, including subcontractor referrals where required. • Track and report on performance metrics such as productivity, missed appointments, and customer satisfaction. • Maintain accurate records and ensure systems are updated in real time. • Support onboarding and induction of new staff when required. Skills/Experience: • Proven experience as a Repairs Planner within social housing (essential). • Strong knowledge of building repairs, trade dependencies, and scheduling requirements. • Experience using planning/scheduling systems (e.g. workforce management or repairs systems). • Excellent organisational and time management skills in a high-volume environment. • Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills. • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple workstreams under pressure. • Good understanding of contractor management and service delivery standards. • Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Knowledge of health & safety, housing regulations, and compliance (desirable). Additional Information: • Bi-Weekly Payments. • Location: Hybrid (2–3 days in office, Edmonton Green; remainder WFH). • Hours: 35 per week (09:00–17:00).
