The Running Account Manager will join our Running Specialist Team with a growing business, working with exciting industry-leading products to deliver market-leading standards and ensure an enhanced customer experience.
The Role
The Running Account Manager will manage the fulfillment of Specialist Sports commitments to wholesale trade accounts & other partners. The role will include:
1. Managing a targeted list of Running customers, maximizing commercial revenue from B2B and B2C channels by ensuring timely dispatch, on-time in full (OTIF), and managing day-to-day queries.
2. Working with a northern UK account base.
3. Growing the Running categories through new and existing customers, including proactive development of existing and new business.
4. Contributing to the Category Manager to accurately forecast and control inventory for Running categories and related products.
5. Supporting Specialist Sports & retail partners' event/expo activities.
6. Collaborating with brand coaches to deliver product technical training and promotional activations, supporting retailers with up-to-date technical content.
7. Managing and developing the Running customer order book to ensure timely fulfillment.
8. Maintaining the Running database of wholesale & B2B customers with accurate contacts and engagement dates.
9. Creating sell-in tools in multimedia formats for the Running categories and maintaining the Specialist Sports website with correct product images, information, and marketing materials.
10. Assisting with general sales inquiries via all media, working with the customer fulfillment team to ensure prompt order delivery.
11. Performing other duties as delegated by the Category Manager, Sales and Marketing Director, or their designee.
The ideal candidate should have relevant trade experience and qualifications, an enthusiastic professional approach, and a personal affinity with sports, especially running. The role is primarily field-based, with frequent travel to the Southampton office. Specialist Sports offers flexible working hours with minimum core hours, but working hours may vary based on role requirements.
The candidate should be able to identify the needs of both new and existing customers to support their success with our products. Building effective communication with clients and internal teams is essential to understanding and addressing customer issues.
