Work Place Flexibility: Onsite Legal Entity: Entergy Services, LLC Job Summary/Purpose The Director, Strategic Sourcing & Procurement (Generation), supporting Entergy’s Power Development organization,serves as an enterprise wide, strategic procurement leader responsible for developing and enabling Entergy’s $2.5B in materials and services required for generation. This role is responsible for the strategic sourcing of categories that are on the critical path to Entergy’s growth success, as well as the oversight of large-scale projects and/or strategic initiatives spanning the Power Development organization. This Director is a key member of the Chief Supply Officer’s leadership team, and partners across the enterprise with senior leaders on a regular basis to develop category requirements, build market intelligence, and execute strategic framework agreements for categories critical to Entergy’s growth strategy. The Director leads a team of sourcing professionals, from individual contributors to senior leaders, to develop & execute on strategies and implement procurement plans in support of the Company’s business objectives. Job Duties/Responsibilities -Safety: Actively promote strong safety behaviors and ensure the team and suppliers prioritize safety. -Category Management: Responsible for the development of category strategies including forecasting category demand and identifying savings goals; align strategies with enterprise priorities around savings, local spend, sustainability, and risk. -Strategic Sourcing: Establish strategic sourcing methodology to be utilized extensively to maximize value through customized, multi-year sourcing strategies, while managing risk. -Partnership & Performance: Expected to work as a partner with functional business leadership to fully understand the business context, priorities, and challenges. Leverages and synthesizes support from functional business leadership to execute on strategic business plans. -Service Orientation: Engage with enterprise to develop customer specific solutions that achieve acceptable outcomes, align with business plans, and provides recommendations for socialization strategies that support customer objectives and growth objectives around affordability, reliability, and sustainability. -Vendor Management & Oversight: Accountable for vendor engagement; vendor performance; vendor risk; strategic alliance management; and contract governance. -Culture: Operate with the highest ethical standards and in full compliance with internal controls, policies, procedures, regulations, and laws. Accountable through supply base partners to execute Entergy’s supplier engagement, development & local spend objectives. -People Leadership: Ensure the right Procurement and Supply Chain talent is recruited, developed, retained, and deployed in line with key business priorities. Mentor and coach staff. -Continuous Improvement: Enable a workforce-driven continuous improvement culture to achieve premier financial and operational results. As a leader, enable time & resources toexecute continuous improvement opportunities. Participate, engage, and utilize continuous improvement tools, frameworks, principles, and professional training as a standard. -Incident Response: Perform incident response/storm duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements Minimum education required for this position:- -Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, supply chain management, engineering, finance, or another related technical discipline -In lieu of a degree, min of 15 years’ experience in procurement or supply chain, preferably in a leadership role, or relevant work experience. -Master’s Degree preferred Minimum experience required for the position: -Minimum 5+ years of supervisory or related leadership experience required. -Minimum 5+ years of sourcing, negotiating and contracting or supply chain experience required. -Certification preferred: Professional in Procurement & Supply Chain e.g. CPSM; CPSD. Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position:- -Industry/role specific Deep experience in sourcing, negotiating and contracting optimally for the categories covered by role. Broad knowledge of all facets of the utility industry with a focus on new generation, project management, budget and cost management disciplines, safety, quality, compliance and regulation. -Financial acumen Demonstrated bias towards action to capture savings and identify additional savings opportunities. Strong financial acumen including effective management of departmental budget. -Leadership Maintains a work environment and develops staff who act with a focus on the future, understand what makes customers more successful, are adaptable, overcome resistance to change and execute with a sense of urgency. -Risk management and internal controls Understanding of risk management principals as it relates to developing and executing customer strategies. Understanding of critical internal controls needed to comply with compliance standards. -Stakeholder management Ability to develop relationships with key business leaders. Seasoned experience influencing internal and external stakeholders with skill and diplomacy. -Execution managing and allocating financial and people resources to execute operational and business plans. -Client focus Determines strategic business direction to best meet clients’ evolving needs. Ensures continued service excellence by evaluating and analyzing departmental decisions that impact ability to meet client needs.
