Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by a leading public sector client to recruit a Procurement Manager.
Main Purpose of the Job
* To serve as the procurement lead, enabling a comprehensive procurement service.
* Ensure compliance with public sector procurement regulations.
* Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Manage pre- and post-tender activities.
* Build and maintain a database of local and regional suppliers.
* Provide guidance and training to internal staff.
Job Requirements
* High-level understanding of public sector procurement regulations.
* Previous experience managing a team.
* MCIPS qualification or working towards it.
* Ability to provide updates to internal staff and suppliers on procurement legislation.
