Company Overview
You will be joining a growing specialist Recruitment group as their Credit Control Supervisor on a full-time, permanent basis. Part of a close-knit and high-performing team of 4 in Accounts, you will all report directly into the Finance Director. This role will be based in their very modern and luxurious City of London office 3 days a week, with the option to work from home for the remaining 2 days.
Role Responsibilities
In your new role, you will be responsible for taking ownership of the full credit control cycle, proactively chasing outstanding invoices by phone and email, managing debtor ledgers and escalating aged debt appropriately, resolving billing disputes and discrepancies in a timely manner, producing regular debtor reports and updates for the Accounts Manager, monitoring client payment terms and performing regular bank reconciliations. You will liaising with payroll intermediaries and provide weekly payroll reports and supporting data and assist with commission calculations and payroll admin. You will monitor the daily cash position, reconcile commercial finance platform draw-downs against invoices raised/cash received and liaise with the bank and supporting account management as required. You will process high volumes of timesheets and raise/issue invoices to clients, ensuring all details are correct and records are maintained. This role will offer you the chance to get involved in cashflow reporting and forecasting inputs, and producing regular accounts reports and management information for the Accounts Manager. You will be involved in contributing to the continuous improvement of accounts processes and internal procedures.
Role Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need to have demonstrable experience in a credit control role, and be happy with direct client-facing debt chasing by phone and email. You will need experience in an accounts, finance admin or bookkeeping role, and be proficient with Accounts software and Excel. You will be resilient and composed under pressure, with a professional approach when dealing with clients on sensitive matters. You will have strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence liaising with clients, intermediaries and internal teams. You will have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly when working with high volumes of data. You will be able to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines, including weekly payroll and month-end cycles.
