Outdoor Education Teacher (Unqualified Teachers will be considered)
Location: Torton, Kidderminster
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Annual Salary: UQT1 £21,731 to M6 £43,607 depending on QTS, qualifications and experience

This is an exciting time to join our new school and be part of the ongoing growth and success. We are now looking to recruit an Outdoor Education Teacher.
The role:
This is a key role where you will be developing and running our bespoke Outdoor Curriculum. Packed with lots of variety you will be providing outdoor and off-site activities, visits and trips to expand the opportunities and learning outcomes for our pupils. Working closely with the SLT group to ensure the Outdoor Education Curriculum is inclusive, varied and engaging.
Key duties include:
* Day to day delivery of Outdoor Education and the Wider Curriculum including Forest school.
* Plan, deliver, learning, assess progress being made and report on it, and evaluate the quality of delivery so that it can be improved in an on-going way.
* Liaise with the Senior Leadership Team to develop the Outdoor Education Curriculum.
* Responsible for ensuring budgets are followed in line with school budget expectations.
* Complete and manage risk assessments to ensure the health and safety of all students and staff are adhered to.

Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
* Experience of high quality teaching within Special Educational Needs
* Experience and knowledge in delivering outdoor education.
* Outdoor Education Qualifications and skills, such as; NGB Outdoor Specific Qualifications, Forest School, Climbing wall, IOL Bushcraft Competency, Mountain Training walking, Mountain bike leadership, archery, paddle sport instructor/lead, canoe/kayak qualifications, (water activities to be confirmed by Aurora insurance provider)
* Knowledge of appropriate Risk Assessment techniques and strategies.
* THRIVE and Positive Behaviour Support to ensure the school ethos and values are followed.
