About The Role:
Shift Pattern:
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 12:30 to 17:30
This is a 1 year fixed term contract.
To deliver high quality cleaning services throughout a six f loor building, ensuring all areas are maintained to the highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and presentation. The Day Cleaner will also provide support to the hospitality team and respond to cleaning requests throughout the day.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Cleaning & Housekeeping :
* Clean and maintain kitchen areas on the 3rd and 4th floors, as well as the ground floor coffee machine area.
* Maintain toilets, kitchenettes, meeting rooms, and other assigned areas to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
* Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed within the allocated time and to a consistently high standard.
* Carry out touch point cleaning and general upkeep in high traffic areas throughout the day.
* Support hospitality with clearing and cleaning meeting rooms, event spaces, or communal areas when requested .
Health, Safety & Compliance :
* Comply with all company and client policies, as well as statutory regulations relating to Health & Safety, COSHH, fire safety, hygiene, and safe working practices.
* Maintain awareness of any specific hazards within the workplace.
* Follow all guidelines for identifying and reporting Health & Safety concerns, such as blocked/locked fire doors or spillages.
* Report any incidents of accidents, fire, theft, loss, damage, or irregularities immediately to management.
Communication & Customer Service:
* Provide a polite, friendly, and professional service to all building users, clients, and visitors.
* Communicate effectively with the supervisor and wider facilities team regarding any issues or additional tasks required .
* Report broken equipment, faults, or cleaning supply shortages promptly.
Operational Support :
* Cover other areas of the building during periods of staff sickness or holiday, as requested .
* Attend meetings, briefings, and training sessions as required to support professional development and compliance.
* Complete any additional reasonable tasks as directed by management to support the smooth operation of the building.
Skills & Requirements :
* Previous cleaning experience in a commercial or corporate environment is desirable.
* Knowledge of cleaning practices, equipment, and safe chemical handling (COSHH).
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high standards .
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
* Friendly, proactive, and customer focused attitude.
