You will be working day shifts and will have a salary of £28,571.40 Overtime: Saturday at time and a half and Sunday at double time. Hours of work: 45 hours per week with a 1-hour unpaid break per day. You'll have access to a variety of high street discounts, as cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other perks.
What you'll do on a typical day:
* Meet and greet incoming HGV haulier drivers
* Enter driver details onto handheld devices as part of Auditing
* Be aware of, and act in accordance with, all XPO Logistics policies
* Bring to the attention of your manager any matter that could be detrimental to the wellbeing of the Company
* Carry out any other duties which may reasonably be required by your manager
process
* Undertake physical check of every trailer to ensure no debris or excess waste
* Ensure trailers are fit for purpose and no defects are found.
* Check all load securing straps for wear and tear and condition and issue extra where necessary
* Issue straps and/or other ancillary equipment as needed and complete record logs.
* Take Driver details and enter onto handheld device.
* Proactively conduct audits of driver behaviour and provide site presence
* Issue guidance to drivers regarding site maps, load securing, Process etc. Ensure drivers are always acting and behaving safely.
* Assist Drivers in trailer preparation, load restraint and trailer close up where applicable
* Carry out weekly trailer park brake checks (where applicable)
* Report any driver behaviour or non-conformances witnessed via handheld devices
* Undertake housekeeping duties, includes snow clearance and de-icing of footpaths. Clean up of trailer parks periodically.
* Re-cycle goods such as anti-slip matting, timber, edge protection etc
What you need to succeed at XPO:
* Must be flexible in working hours
* Previous similar experience would be an advantage
