Customs and Excise Co-Ordinator / Belfast - Hybrid / £30,000 DOE with Benefits
Marks Sattin is delighted to collaborate with a Chemical Distribution company in Belfast that is expanding its Finance Team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced and dynamic environment within a fantastic business.
The Role:
You will be part of a UK and Ireland-based tax team working on all aspects of import and export tax. Regular communication with hauliers, customers, and suppliers will be essential to organise paperwork and manage administration for product deliveries.
Day to Day:
* Prepare documentation and information for UK customs authorities.
* Distribute forms to relevant stakeholders in the supply chain.
* Assist other depot team areas with goods-in/goods-out procedures.
* Manage and monitor movements of controlled goods.
* Complete online submissions to HMRC for these movements and regular returns on controlled goods movements.
* Reconcile stock levels of controlled goods with submission data.
* Advise sales and stock teams on processes and checks for buying or selling controlled goods.
* Maintain master data on products in the ERP system, including commodity codes, origin, excise classifications, and restrictions.
* Audit and monitor controlled goods movements and collate relevant paperwork.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
* Experience in customs procedures.
* Strong stakeholder communication skills.
