Role/Job Title: PaaS Technical Architect (Azure PaaS) Work Location: London, UK Mode of Working Hybrid/Office Based: Hybrid If Hybrid, how many days are required in office? 3 The Role The associate needs to play a key role in modernizing critical service domains such as scheduling, delivery, and customer engagement by designing scalable, cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure. Operating in a rapidly evolving logistics sector, they will leverage cutting-edge Azure PaaS technologies (App Services, Functions, API Management, etc.) to drive efficiency, reliability, and innovation across high-impact national projects. You would be working for the largest postal/parcels services provider in the UK. Your Responsibilities: Design and lead end-to-end Azure PaaS architectures for application migration and modernization. Assess existing on-premises environments, define migration strategies, and develop cloud roadmaps. Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements and migration roadmaps on solution level. Implement Azure services such as App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Service Bus, etc. Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to enable CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code. Ensure best practices around security, scalability, performance, and cost optimization. Provide technical leadership and mentoring to development and DevOps teams. Your Profile Essential Skills/Knowledge/Experience: Proven experience in Azure cloud migration projects. Strong experience in .Net Core, Angular, SQL. Strong knowledge of Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings. Expertise in designing solutions using Azure App Services, Application Gateway, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Azure SQL databases. Experience with microservices architecture and API Management. Strong understanding of Azure networking, identity (Azure AD), monitoring, and security practices. Expertise in Azure Migrate and related tools. Proficiency in infrastructure as code (e.g., ARM templates). Desirable Skills/Knowledge/Experience: Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-305, AZ-104) are highly desirable. Experience with Azure DevOps, Infrastructure as Code (ARM/Bicep/Terraform), and automated deployment pipelines. Understanding of Azure security best practices, including identity and access management (Azure AD), role-based access control (RBAC), and data protection strategies. Good communication and negotiation skills.
