SV Care are recruiting experienced Senior Residential Support Workers for our new Ofsted-registered children’s residential provision located on Straight Road, Colchester.
We’re looking to recruit experienced, passionate, and dedicated Senior Residential Support Workers who want to make a real difference in the lives of some of the most vulnerable young people in our society who’ve experienced neglect, abuse, and trauma. Due to these early life experiences, the young people in our care may, at times, display challenging behaviours. You must have the experience, resilience, and leadership skills to manage these behaviours while providing consistent, unconditional care, guidance, and support.

Previous experience in residential childcare is essential for this senior role.
A full, clean UK driving license is preferred but not essential.
Requirements for DBS and reference checking will be undertaken and paid for by SV Care Services, in line with government regulations and safer recruitment best practices.

Duties include:
* Supporting and managing the staff team to meet the needs of the young person
* Planning each shift and ensuring resources are allocated appropriately
* Working with external professionals to deliver positive outcomes
* Providing supervision and support to staff in line with Quality Standards
* Supporting the young person to engage in education
* Ensuring their health needs are met
* Providing advice, support and guidance
* Managing complex behaviours and crisis intervention
* Administering and recording medication
* Maintaining daily records and administrative work
* Contributing to the care planning process

Experience:
o Residential Childcare: 2 years (required)
o Residential childcare supervisory: 1 year (required)
Licence/Certification:
o Driving Licence (preferred)
o NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care (preferred)
Work Location: In person
Job Type: Full-time
Contract Type: Set shift pattern, 07:30-23:00 every 3rd day, and alternate sleep-in shifts
