Apprentice Engineer
Barnsley
Level 3 Engineering Technician (Mechatronics) Qualification
Year 1 Salary - £20,000 + Full Accommodation Cost’s Covered
You will join us in September 2026 and, throughout your 4-year apprenticeship, you will be working towards a Level 3 Engineering Technician (Mechatronics) qualification. The first year you will live in Coventry and attend training Monday – Friday at our training partner MGTS, developing core technical skills in a hands‑on, workshop‑based environment. From year two onward, you will spend most of your time at your assigned site applying what you have learned under experienced engineers, with periodic return to MGTS for further training and assessments. Towards the end of the programme, you may be moved onto one of the site’s shift patterns.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Learning from experienced engineers and mentors within your site and the wider Asset Care team.
* Gaining hands‑on skills in manufacturing engineering.
* Working towards a nationally recognised qualification.
* Working across our Asset Care function to gain a good fundamental knowledge of engineering at Compleat.
What You’ll Need
* A minimum of 4 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grade 4/C or above, including Maths, Science and English.
* A genuine interest and passion for Engineering/Asset Care.
* A great attitude, curiosity and a willingness to learn with a strong team spirit.
* Eligibility to work in the UK and be 18+ by the start date (September 2026).
