Our client are seeking a proactive and hands-on Environmental Advisor to join the Health, Safety and Environment (HSEQ) team, supporting a key infrastructure project in Havant. Environmental Advisor Job Overview Provide environmental advice, guidance, and training to site delivery teams to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and company policies. Implement and improve environmental management systems, procedures, and best practices Conduct regular site inspections, monitor environmental performance, and advise Ensure compliance with ISO14001, ISO50001, and all relevant environmental permits Monitor site energy usage, helping improve data capture and reduce carbon footprint. Support initiatives to prevent pollution, including silt management and water quality sampling. Lead or contribute to the design and implementation of sustainable innovations, such as renewable energy solutions for site operations. Liaise with environmental consultants, regulatory bodies, and client representatives. Assist with tender bids and contribute to award submissions. Investigate and report on environmental incidents and near misses. Manage environmental documentation Conduct dust and noise monitoring, and manage ecology on site in line with legal and best practice guidelines Drive company-wide environmental awareness campaigns and reduction initiatives (e.g. carbon, waste). Environmental Advisor Job Requirements Degree in Environmental Science or a related field. Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar environmental advisory or compliance role. Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, regulations, and best practice. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Full UK Driving Licence. Recognised environmental qualification (e.g. IEMA Cert). IRCA-accredited Lead Auditor (ISO 9001, 14001 or 45001). Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. IEMA, IOSH). CSCS card and SEATS (Site Environmental Awareness Training Scheme) certification.
