Davan Ward is seeking an enthusiastic Deputy Charge Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team on an 11-month secondment. The successful candidate will participate in developing and maintaining high standards of nursing care in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct, local and national policies, including health and safety legislation. In the absence of the Senior Charge Nurse, they will assume leadership and provide guidance to all staff.
Davan Ward is a busy 22-bed mixed-sex, acute admission ward for patients with functional illnesses. Applicants should demonstrate awareness of and adaptability to the changing needs of the Older Adult Psychiatry service. An RMN qualification is essential.
The ideal candidate should be motivated, committed to patient-focused care, and capable of fostering a therapeutic ward environment. Leadership by example and supporting the development of others are essential qualities.
This position offers broad experience across many healthcare domains in a challenging yet rewarding environment. It is suitable for those wishing to be part of an evolving service that recognizes the diverse and complex needs of older adults and their families or carers.
Interviews are scheduled for 30th July 2025. An attractive relocation allowance of up to £8,000 is available to successful candidates.
