OPERATIONAL RESILIENCE & BUSINESS CONTINUITY ANALYST
Salary: Up to £54,000 dependent on skills and experience
Permanent
Hybrid working (office based in Birmingham) – Currently 1-2 days in the office per week

Your role:
The purpose of the role is to assist the Operational Resilience & Business Continuity Manager with the management and further enhancement of Operational Resilience & Business Continuity frameworks across the Group. The role will also manage the Business Continuity Management System ensuring it is effective, fit for purpose and compliant with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
What you’ll be doing:
As an Operational Resilience & Business Continuity Analyst, your role will be to support in the delivery of the Operational Resilience & Business Continuity components that ensure Wesleyan meets its regulatory obligations and helps support the design and planning for delivery of the OpRes/BC partnership between Wesleyan and its strategic partners.
· Manage the Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) to ensure it is in line with industry best practice, is appropriate for the company’s risk profile/appetite, and is aligned with the ISO22301 standard.
· Utilise Business Impact Analyses, and other methodologies, to identify critical business processes ensuring that appropriate protection and recovery solutions are implemented.
· Support the Group in managing third-party relationships, ensuring appropriate resilience and continuity plans are in place.
· Understand and translate Operational Resilience & Business Continuity regulatory requirements and embed them across the Group.
· Design and support in the delivery of Operational Resilience and Business Continuity annual programme of testing.
· Provide continuing assurance over the performance of the Operational Resilience & Business Continuity frameworks through internal review.
· Manage risk events and incidents, coordinating response efforts to minimise operational disruption. Conduct Post Incident Reviews where appropriate.
· Manage and maintain the Groups’ Crisis Management framework.
· Coordinate Group Operational Resilience & Business Continuity committees and working groups including the creation of relevant documentation, tracking of actions, etc
· Report risk events and incidents into relevant committees, utilising the Risk Management System to track learning outcomes to closure.
· Actively build and embed an Operational Resilience & Business Continuity culture throughout the Group and outward into its key critical suppliers through a programme of awareness activities.
· Support in the construction of the annual Operational Resilience Self-Assessment.
· A deep understanding of the Operational Resilience & Business Continuity regulatory frameworks.
· Experience of working in a Business Continuity environment preferably in Financial Services.
· Experience of working in a regulated environment generally preferably Financial Services.
· Regulatory project experience (implementing frameworks in response to new regulation or regulatory changes).
· Experienced in planning, leading and delivery.
· Able to demonstrate a business improvement mind-set, facilitating discussion, business engagement and creating a culture for transformation.
· Ability to think strategically and to work alone.
· Superior communication skills with ability to operate across business lines at all levels up to and including Exec level. Able to produce reports of an excellent standard without supervision.
