Key Duties
* Perform structural analysis of jackets, topsides, and floating assets
* Support offshore operations, structural assurance, major projects, life extension, and decommissioning activities
* Inplace analysis and code compliance assessments
* Fatigue and dynamic analysis
* Pushover, redundancy and boat impact analysis (advantageous but a mandatory requirement)
* Support wider group activities of Structural Integrity Management, Weight Control, and Decommissioning.
About You
Qualifications:
* Related Engineering Degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Naval Architecture degree (B.Eng/M.Sc/P.hD)
* Chartered Engineer, or actively working towards chartership (preferred)
Experience / competence:
* Highlevels of proficiency in SESAM GeniE analysis packages
* Experience in other industry standard analysis packages - StaadPro, USFOS, ABAQUS and ANSYS (preferred)
* Good understanding of structural linear and non-linear behaviour
* Good understanding of civil and structural drawing skills
* Knowledge of wave theory, wave kinematics, and Morison equation.
* Significant, demonstrable experience in detailed design engineering and engineering checking
* T horough knowledge and understanding of relevant oil & gas industry codes and standards(e.g., ISO, API, DNV, etc.)
* D etailed understanding of all engineering disciplines
* Understands the application of Autodesk Design products
* Competent in the use of MS Office applications
* Excellent written and spoken English
