We are working with a leading contractor who is looking for a or to join their team on major projects in Suffolk, with an initial focus on schemes. This role plays a vital part in supporting site operations and ensuring the smooth, safe, and successful delivery of projects. Key Responsibilities * Work closely with site management to produce accurate quality take-offs * Identify and flag potential commercial risks or opportunities on the project * Develop your skills in preparing risk and hazard assessments, ensuring all teams understand control measures and safe working methods * Carry out inspections and testing to check that works meet and specification standards * Train, supervise, and mentor junior engineers to support their development * Manage and oversee setting-out activities to guarantee accurate delivery on site * Organise service plans and drawings for your section and handle permit issuing * Provide information and records to the QS and Project Manager to support claims and project tracking * Manage as-built documentation and contribute to compiling the site health and safety file * Make sure all work is carried out to company quality, safety, and environmental standards and procedures Skills & Experience Required * Proven setting-out experience on, roadworks, or earthworks projects * Confident using Leica/Geomax equipment and transferring drawings and data from * Good knowledge of Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and quality assurance processes * Solid leadership skills with a sound understanding of on-site construction methods * Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the Eastern region * First Aid at Work qualification is an advantage Benefits Package * Life assurance (4x salary) * Company car or car allowance * Pension scheme (company matched up to 8%) * 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, with the option to buy more leave * Extensive training and career development programmes * Cycle-to-work scheme and employee benefits platform * Employee Assistance Programme for wellbeing support * Supportive working environment that encourages career progression * Early finish every Friday with The Great Escape * Regular social activities and charity events This is a great opportunity to progress your career with a top-tier contractor, working on high-profile projects that make a real difference to local
