We are looking for a motivated Junior Design Engineer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their technical skills and progress within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
You will be involved in a variety of structural engineering projects, supporting the design process from concept through to fabrication, with a balance of office-based work and site involvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out site visits and site viewings to support project delivery
* Undertake point cloud data capture and management using modern surveying technologies
* Assist in the preparation of design briefs and project documentation
* Produce accurate fabrication drawings and models
* Undertake end connection detailing for structural steelwork
* Support engineers with structural calculations and temporary works reports
* Work collaboratively with the design team to deliver high-quality, practical solutions
* Creating NCdatafrom Tekla for plasma cutting
About You
* Degree (or working towards) in Engineering
* Experience in a design or detailing role within engineering
* Familiarity with Tekla, AutoCAD, or similar design software
* Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Full UK driving licence (required for site visits)
* Interest in developing towards a Design Engineer position
