Psychology Graduates – Support Roles in Mainstream, SEN & SEMH Schools

Locations: Stoke-on-Trent, Keele, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Hanley, Trentham, Meir, Blythe Bridge
Pay: £90 – £130 per day (dependent on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Day-to-day and full-time opportunities (temp-to-perm available)

Are you a Psychology graduate looking to gain practical experience working with children and young people? We have a variety of opportunities in mainstream, SEN, and SEMH schools across North Staffordshire.

These roles are ideal if you’re considering a career in Educational or Clinical Psychology, Counselling, Youth Work, or Teaching.

What You’ll Do:

* Support pupils with additional needs, including SEN, ASD, ADHD, and SEMH

* Work 1:1 or in small groups to support behaviour, emotional regulation, and engagement

* Assist teachers with lessons and interventions

* Help students overcome barriers to learning

* Provide structure, consistency, and encouragement

* Collaborate with SENCOs, pastoral staff, and external professionals

We’re Looking For:

* Psychology graduates eager to apply theory in real-world settings

* Empathetic, patient, and emotionally intelligent individuals

* Strong communicators who build positive relationships

* Calm and resilient in challenging situations

* DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
