The Mechanical Supervisor is a key role within the Maintenance team, supporting the safe operation of assets, plant productivity, and reliability. As the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, you will:
* Report directly to the Maintenance Manager and oversee Mechanical Maintenance Technicians and Shift Maintenance Technicians.
* Be responsible for all mechanical maintenance tasks, ensuring safety standards and regulatory compliance, including industry standards such as ISO9001, ISO45001, ISO14001, and cGMP.
* Work closely with operations to meet customer quality requirements and prevent cross-contamination.
* Ensure timely completion of maintenance activities, including breakdowns, preventive maintenance, compliance work, and defect repairs, with proper documentation in the CMMS system.
* Manage the Mechanical Maintenance team’s day-to-day activities, including work allocation, reviewing work packs, ensuring RAMS adequacy, and progress updates.
* Take responsibility for priority work, raising PRs, organizing resources, and creating RAMS.
* Manage administrative tasks such as timekeeping, holidays, disciplinary matters, and deputies for the Maintenance Manager.
* Collaborate with the Planning & Scheduling team and Site Engineers to develop accurate weekly schedules and improve plant reliability.
* Contribute to root cause analyses (RCAs) and follow-up actions to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
* Provide first-line problem solving for mechanical faults and work delivery issues.
* Promote a positive SHEQ culture, ensuring safety, quality, and environmental standards are maintained during all maintenance activities.
* Supervise external OEM contractors for compliance inspections and future maintenance planning.
