The UCL Dept of Clinical Psychology is seeking a research fellow to join a project on Identifying barriers to mental healthcare for civilians affected by protracted armed conflict in Colombia funded by the ESRC and conducted in collaboration with the Population Health Research Department of La Fundación Santa Fe de Bogotá.
About the role
In collaboration with colleagues in Colombia, the Research Fellow will support analytic projects led by the project team using data from services supporting civilian victims of the armed conflict in Colombia and national epidemiological studies to identify predictors of outcome and treatment access. The post holder will also support the teaching of statistical techniques to collaborators and students linked to the research group. There will also be opportunities to lead small research projects with support from research group members.
This is a fixed-term 5-month role in the first instance.
About you
We are looking for a post-doctoral researcher to conduct statistical analyses on existing datasets. The candidate must support data management of large healthcare datasets, be fluent in programming in R, and have advanced statistical analysis skills. Experience or willingness to learn geospatial analysis is required. Essential experience includes statistical modelling, epidemiology, and/or mental healthcare data science.
The candidate will lead the write-up of analyses for peer-reviewed publications and present findings at meetings and conferences. They must work closely with collaborators, staff, students, and project team members with lived experience of the armed conflict to support the project as needed.
Ability to work in English and Spanish is desirable.
Interviews will take place between 12th & 15th May 2025, and candidates must be able to start around 1st June 2025.
