Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of care within their homes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients, particularly those with developmental disabilities, dementia, or other health challenges. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, ensuring safety and comfort, and fostering a supportive environment.
Duties
* Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
* Provide patient care and support for individuals with varying needs, including those with Alzheimer's and dementia.
* Monitor vital signs and report any changes in the client's condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
* Prepare meals and assist with meal planning according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
* Maintain a clean and safe living environment through regular cleaning and organization of the home.
* Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
* Administer medication as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans.
* Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe patient transfers when necessary.
* Document care provided and maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Experience
Candidates should have experience in one or more of the following areas:
* Home care
* Assisted living or nursing home environments
* Direct support roles in caregiving or social work
* We are looking for individuals who are not only skilled but also possess a genuine passion for helping others thrive in their daily lives.
Pay: £13.50-£15.60 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 25 per week
