About The Role
This dual role combines training delivery and senior medical writing. You will lead our fundamental medical writing courses, design and develop training programs for healthcare agencies, and support the Agencies Vertical as a Principal Medical Writer. You will create clear, engaging, scientifically accurate content across a range of therapy areas and audience groups.

Salary And Benefits
* Salary of £51,500 to £56,500 per annum.

Key Responsibilities – Course Instructor
* Lead delivery of courses to individuals and companies, ensuring high satisfaction rates.
* Design engaging, active learning experiences aligned with adult learning principles.
* Obtain and incorporate feedback to continually refine courses.
* Stay informed on industry developments and update course content for relevance and accuracy.
* Review student work, providing written feedback, one‑to‑one sessions, and facilitating peer review.
* Support e‑learning product growth by creating new courses and repurposing content for internal upskilling.
* Assist in the planning, development, and creation of new courses for staff, individuals, and clients.
* Collaborate with the team to support new course development and aide colleagues delivering courses.
* Contribute to the end‑of‑year report.
* Advocate for the Monster Academy and Word Monster.
* Review and contribute social media content to raise the Academy’s profile.
Principal Medical Writer Responsibilities
* Develop high‑quality, scientifically accurate materials across multiple formats.
* Ensure all copy adheres to ABPI and local codes of practice, communicating concerns and solutions proactively.
* Maintain alignment with in‑house or client‑specific style guidelines.
* Meet deadlines and budgets, communicating transparently with clients to resolve issues.
Other Responsibilities
* Drive innovation by suggesting new services, improving processes, and contributing to business development.
* Demonstrate adaptability in an entrepreneurial environment.
* Achieve quarterly KPIs and support business success.
* Embrace feedback with a growth mindset and stay current in medical communications.
* Adhere to administrative processes, including timesheet completion and editorial procedures.
* Support the Marketing team with social media and promotional activities.

Required Experience
* Life sciences undergraduate degree or PhD.
* Extensive senior medical writing experience, working independently.
* Proven creative/medical copywriting in an agency environment, leading projects and accounts.
* Excellent presentation skills.
* Experience delivering workshops and developing training materials.
* Mentoring junior writers, with one‑to‑one feedback experience.
* Advanced Word and PowerPoint skills.
* In‑depth knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and ABPI code compliance.
Desired Experience
* Understanding of adult learning theories (qualification advantageous).
* Experience defining learning objectives and evaluating training effectiveness.
* Experience with L&D software, including LMS and e‑learning tools.
* Management of junior writers, with proven performance management and wellbeing support.
