FP&A Controller (Healthcare)
Location: Central London (Hybrid Working - 3 days in the office)
My client, within the Healthcare Industry, is looking for an FP&A Business Partner to act as a key interface between finance and the Care Groups. The role involves owning the financial plan and forecast for the Care Group, ensuring accuracy and strategic insight.
Responsibilities include:
1. Owning the Care Group P&L from a finance perspective, driving optimal financial performance.
2. Delivering the Care Group P&L Plan/Forecast inputs and sensitivities to the central FP&A Team, ensuring assumptions are sound and ownership is with the Care Group management team.
3. Providing business partnering to the Care Group, including financial input on business cases, growth, resources, and marketing ROI.
4. Strategically assessing the long-term service model of the Care Group, providing financial advice and analysis, and communicating risks and opportunities.
5. Building strong relationships with senior leadership, influencing financial decisions, and supporting them through processes.
6. Providing insightful commentary aligned with month-end and quarterly forecast cycles.
7. Collaborating with central FP&A and clinical teams on staffing controls, improving compliance and efficiency.
8. Managing the Establishment Model output, challenging resource requests, and monitoring variances.
9. Working with Procurement to identify supply efficiencies.
10. Leading on procedure profitability analysis and implementing profitability improvements.
11. Conducting benchmarking against competitors on KPIs and financial results.
12. Performing ad hoc analysis to support financial decision-making.
Required Experience:
1. Proven track record of driving financial improvements.
2. Experience managing a P&L or segments, such as revenue or cost centers.
3. High emotional intelligence and excellent communication skills, comfortable discussing financials with non-financial audiences, especially clinicians.
4. Healthcare industry experience (desirable).
5. Qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) with at least 4 years post-qualification experience.
6. Degree 2:2 minimum.
7. Advanced Excel, Power BI skills, and automation interest for analysis.
