Pharmacy Technician – Nottingham
£30,000 DOE • Permanent • Nottingham • 30 Hours per week (x4 days) Monday – Sunday Flexible
We’re looking for a motivated and detail-focused Pharmacy Technician to join our client’s innovative and forward-thinking pharmacy team. This non-patient-facing role is central to driving medicines optimisation, quality improvement, and education support within urgent primary care services. Working alongside the Lead Clinical Pharmacist and a range of multidisciplinary teams, you’ll help shape and deliver safe, effective, and value-based use of medicines across their services.
Role Requirements:
* Supporting the development and delivery of medicines optimisation initiatives
* Leading day-to-day medicines stock control and procurement
* Contributing to and conducting medicine safety audits
* Helping develop protocols, SOPs, and quality improvement processes
* Delivering and supporting training and induction programmes for staff
* Ensuring compliance with MHRA, GPhC, and national guidance
* Supporting controlled drug governance, discrepancy resolution and safe disposal
Skills and Experience required
* Registered Pharmacy Technician (GPhC) with NVQ Level 3 in Pharmaceutical Sciences
* 2+ years’ experience in a pharmacy technician role
* Strong knowledge of stock management, medicine safety, and audit processes
* Confident using IT systems and digital tools (Excel, SharePoint, SystmOne, ePACT2, PrescQIPP – a plus)
* Great communication, organisation, and time-management skills
* Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and collaborating effectively
* Passion for quality improvement, education, and medicines optimisation
* Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel between sites
