Description
At LOCALiQ, part of Newsquest Media Group, we are committed to helping organisations in the education sector strengthen their reach through smart, data-driven digital marketing. As part of our education vertical sales team, you will play a key role in supporting schools, colleges, universities, training providers and education-focused businesses to increase their visibility and connect with the audiences that matter most.
This is a hybrid role that combines remote working with face-to-face client meetings, so it is important that you live within or near your designated territory and have access to a vehicle for business use, along with a full UK driving licence. You will be building relationships across the education landscape, understanding sector-specific challenges, and recommending tailored solutions from our suite of digital products, including paid social, digital display, video, and websites. You will also be expected to attend our local office regularly to keep us updated on your activity, support your development, and help drive your earning potential, supported with uncapped commission and an expected OTE of £40,000+ in year one.
We are looking for someone who is digitally confident, commercially minded, and genuinely passionate about supporting the education sector. If you thrive in a consultative sales environment, can demonstrate B2B sales expertise, and have experience working with or selling into education clients, we would love to hear from you. We are open to applicants with B2B SaaS experience, particularly those who have sold education technology products.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive business-to-business sales through a mix of telephone, video, and face-to-face meetings with education-focused clients across your territory.
* Deliver consultative selling by identifying customer needs through effective questioning and discovery, then recommending the most suitable digitally led solutions.
* Conduct thorough research into each client’s organisation and education sub-sector to ensure tailored and relevant proposals.
* Maximise marketing spend within your category or territory by sourcing new education clients and re-engaging lapsed accounts.
* Maintain a high standard of account management, ensuring strong relationships and excellent service at every stage.
* Grow your unique customer base through structured territory planning and proactive competitor awareness.
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities from inbound leads, referrals, and self-sourced prospects.
* Consistently meet and exceed key performance indicators, including call volumes, meaningful conversations, booked meetings, and follow-ups.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Proven experience in business-to-business sales, ideally within a consultative or solution-led environment.
* Experience working with or selling into the education sector. This is essential to the role and will need to be clearly demonstrated at the interview.
* Background in SaaS, particularly education technology or digital education products, is advantageous.
* Understanding of digital marketing solutions such as paid social, digital display, video, and websites.
* Demonstrated success in outbound cold calling and lead generation.
* Confident and persuasive when securing new business via phone, virtual meetings, or face-to-face.
* Ability to nurture and grow existing accounts, building long-term value and retention.
* Committed to delivering exceptional customer service with a proactive and responsive approach.
* Knowledge of multimedia advertising is advantageous but not essential.
* Strong consultative approach with excellent listening and problem-solving skills.
* Able to commute to the office and travel within the territory for client meetings.
* Access to a vehicle for business use and holds a full UK driving licence.
