Our Design Technicians are core to the operation of our business. A key member of our team, reporting to the Senior Design Technician, you’ll be responsible for designing timber frame superstructures for homes and buildings using architectural designs, specifications, and structural engineering guidance. You’ll ensure accuracy of approved drawings, production designs for building components including walls, floors, and roofs. You’ll develop bills of materials for all structural and joinery components, steel fabrication, ensuring each design meets standards for programme compliance, quality, budget, health, and safety. You’ll be proactive in offering solutions to value engineer for our customers, working as part of a team to deliver great customer communication.
Your Skills
* Design experience in timber frame
* Good working knowledge of Consultec, HSB CAD, Mitek Wood Engine, Wolf Horizon, and AutoCAD
* Excellent organisational skills, ability to plan work week, manage time, information, and reporting
* Experience within the construction industry (preferred)

Salary Range £38k To £48k Plus Benefits
