Job Description:
An ambitious and inclusive secondary school in Northampton is seeking a passionate English and/or Drama Teacher to join their teaching team on a permanent basis from September 2025.
This is an excellent opportunity for a creative and enthusiastic teacher to inspire students through the power of literature, language, and performance. The school is open to applicants with a specialism in either English, Drama, or both, depending on experience and preference.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in English and/or Drama across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Encourage creativity, critical thinking, and confident communication among students.
Use a range of assessment techniques to monitor and support student progress.
Maintain a positive, well-managed classroom environment.
Contribute to the wider school community through enrichment activities or performances.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential.
UK teaching experience in English and/or Drama.
A valid Enhanced DBS, ideally on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
Strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
