Band 5 People Advisor

The closing date is 09 March 2026

People Advisor (x2) – Temporary (Fixed Term or Secondment), Full-Time

We are recruiting two temporary People Advisors: one to cover an 8 month secondment and one for a 12 month maternity cover. This is an exciting time to join our People Advisory Service; we've moved to new offices facilitating better collaboration and working with colleagues across compliance, inclusion, OD, recruitment, payroll and workforce transformation.

You’ll join the Trust at a key moment as we build on our comprehensive People Strategy, strengthen our culture, and enhance colleague experience. This role offers the chance to partner with a wide range of teams, contribute ideas, and support positive organisational change.

As a People Advisor, you’ll provide high quality, professional HR advice to managers and staff, using your strong communication skills, up to date employment law knowledge and generalist HR experience.

You will be part of a team of six People Advisors, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday. Our service operates between 08:00–17:00. The role requires on site presence four days per week, with one day from home. Your main base will be Regent Court (a short walk from Five Ways train station), with occasional travel across our hospital sites.

This role offers excellent exposure to a wide range of HR matters and casework, enabling you to quickly broaden your expertise. For an informal discussion, please contact Lisa Pemberton, Group People Services Manager: lisa.pemberton@uhb.nhs.uk.
