About the Role
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging English Language and Literature lessons across KS3 and KS4
* Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students can succeed
* Differentiate learning to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities and learning styles
* Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing timely and effective feedback
* Support students in developing confidence, independence, and a passion for English
* Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and contribute to departmental success
* Uphold high expectations for behaviour, attendance, and academic achievement
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
* Has strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature
* Demonstrates a passion for delivering engaging and effective lessons
* Possesses excellent classroom management and communication skills
* Is committed to raising standards and supporting student achievement
* Works well as part of a team and contributes positively to school life
