Supply Desk is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Slough (SL3) area to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS Teacher. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate early years educator to join a nurturing environment and make a meaningful impact at the foundation stage of pupils’ education.
This role would suit an engaging and creative teacher with a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, who is committed to fostering a love of learning and supporting children’s early development.
The Role
As an EYFS Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting children during the most important stage of their development, helping to build strong foundations across all areas of learning.
Key Responsibilities
* Planning and delivering engaging, creative, and age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework
* Supporting children’s development in communication and language, early literacy, numeracy, and personal, social, and emotional development
* Creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
* Observing, assessing, and tracking children’s progress in line with EYFS standards
* Supporting children of varying abilities, including those with SEN
* Encouraging curiosity, independence, and confidence through play-based learning
* Building strong relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues
* Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and the wider school team
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Desirable
* Experience within EYFS or early years settings
* Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
* Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
* A nurturing, creative, and engaging teaching style
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to work full-time in the Slough (SL3) area from September
Desirable
* Experience in Nursery or Reception classes
* Knowledge of phonics programmes (e.g., Little Wandle or similar)
* Experience supporting children with SEN
* Knowledge of EYFS assessment and progress tracking
* Understanding of safeguarding and early years best practices
