Allen Lane is supporting the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea (RBKC) in their search for a permanent Integration Architect.

The Integration Architect plays a central role in RBKC’s ability to successfully implement and integrate new technology solutions and is critical to helping the council achieve our aims for our residents. This is a brand new role in the structure - your chance to define and deliver!
As Integration Architect, you will:
* Specify and own the integration-specific aspects of enterprise & solution architectures
* Govern the integration process across all phases of delivery
* Oversee technical teams in the design, build, test & operation of integration solutions
* Manage third-party relationships involved in end-to-end integration
* Working closely with the Enterprise Architect, design and develop an enterprise architecture that allows multiple systems to work collaboratively
Applicants must demonstrate the following skills and experience to be considered for this post:
* Experience with the Microsoft Azure tech stack
* Proven experience in software engineering and integration architecture
* Knowledge and experience of multiple integration and API management/gateway technologies
* Sound understanding of contemporary software engineering practice
* A structured approach to architectural design
* Strong understanding and opinions on how integration has evolved from an on-premises, centralised function towards being a digital, cloud and API-driven capability
* Knowledge and experience of hybrid cloud integration approaches, API-led architectures and digital-era integration governance methodology
* Consulting effectively with both business and technical teams
* Deep analytical skills and the ability to see the connections between layers of business operations
* Addressing the needs of the corporate strategy
* Understanding how different parts of the business operation are connected with each other and how business processes achieve their goals
* Project and resource management skills
* Accounting for deadlines and use of given resources
* Defining which solutions are beneficial and which are inefficient for a particular business need
* Understanding how to achieve such solutions and goals according to their given time-frames and available resources
