We specialise in the design, fabrication and installation of complex industrial systems, supporting sectors including biopharma, data centres, food & beverage, power generation and semiconductor industries.

With a skilled workforce of 100+ professionals, we deliver projects safely, efficiently and to the highest standards — often in demanding, high-value environments.

The Role

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to support the next phase of growth at MIM.

This is not a high-volume sales role it is primarily focused on building relationships, identifying opportunities and positioning MIM as a trusted partner for complex engineering projects.

You will work closely with the leadership team to identify target clients, open doors and convert opportunities into long-term relationships, while also supporting how MIM presents itself in the market.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across key sectors (data centres, pharma, industrial, infrastructure)

• Build and maintain relationships with contractors, OEMs and end clients

• Represent MIM at meetings, site visits and industry events

• Develop and manage a pipeline of opportunities

• Support tenders and proposals in collaboration with internal teams

• Contribute to MIM’s market presence (e.g. input into LinkedIn activity, case studies, and client messaging)

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in business development within engineering, construction or industrial sectors

• Strong understanding of complex project environments (e.g. data centres, pharma, heavy industry)

• Proven ability to build relationships and win work

• Commercial awareness and ability to identify high-value opportunities

• Comfortable contributing to marketing/visibility efforts (LinkedIn, industry engagement, etc.)

• Self-starter who can take ownership and operate independently

Qualifications / Experience

• Relevant experience in business development, engineering, construction or industrial sectors is essential

• Degree or qualification in engineering, business or a related field is beneficial but not essential

• Strong network or experience within target sectors (data centres, pharma, industrial) would be advantageous

What We Offer

• Opportunity to shape and grow the business development function

• Work alongside a highly capable engineering team delivering complex projects

• Competitive salary with performance based incentives

• Flexible approach depending on experience (open to discussion)
