We are looking for an MRI Band 7 HCPC registered Radiographer to join our MRI team at RLH.
As part of our project to establish our department and meet capacity demands, we have an exciting post for a Band 7 MRI Radiographer based at RLH. The post holder, together with other Band 7s in the department, will help provide stability to the MRI team, offering clinical expertise and experience.
This role provides an opportunity to utilize your clinical MRI expertise, knowledge, and skills to support the team at RLH. Applications are welcome from staff with accredited postgraduate training in MRI and those working as senior radiographers in MRI for at least 2 years.
The successful candidate will demonstrate postgraduate MRI experience. The ability to train and engage radiographers in MRI, review and implement new scanning protocols with Radiologists, and ensure staff are informed of new studies/procedures is essential. A current awareness of MRI safety, especially concerning devices and implants, is required.
Excellent organisational skills, the ability to foster good relationships with internal and external clients, self-motivation, and the ability to motivate others within the team are also important.

The post-holder will participate in the effective and safe operation of the MRI department and perform a wide range of specialist MRI scans in the extended hours 7-day service. Responsibilities include supervising band 6 radiographers, imaging assistants, students, and visitors, managing patient flow, protocol checking, booking sedated and GA patients, liaising with radiologists and clinicians, and ensuring high-quality patient care. On-call/out of hours work is required.
