This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Stroke Occupational Therapy Team at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Denmark Hill site. The role requires an experienced occupational therapist with expert knowledge of managing stroke patients and knowledge and experience of team management and leadership, and the ability to plan and develop services.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the Stroke Occupational Therapy Team, ensuring efficient service delivery.
* Oversee clinical governance, manage capacity and demand of the caseload, and handle managerial administrative tasks.
* Develop and provide thorough inductions, training and ongoing development for staff.
* Engage staff to foster an attitude of excellence and continuous improvement.
* Provide specialist knowledge in stroke theory and practice, supporting colleagues and managing a complex clinical caseload.
* Collaborate across services and disciplines to deliver a coordinated, integrated service.
* Actively contribute to national specialist interest groups, conferences, study days and research opportunities.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Experienced occupational therapist with expert knowledge of stroke management.
* Demonstrated experience in team management, leadership and service planning.
* Ability to plan and develop services and manage complex caseloads.
* Flexible approach to working and commitment to weekend working as required.
* Strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
