Inspector
Turbine Repair Technologies Ltd (TRT Ltd) are excited to be looking for a Quality Inspector to join our Inspection Team.
Turbine Repair Technologies Ltd (TRT Ltd) is a joint venture between Rolls-Royce Plc and Chromalloy, focused on the repair of gas turbine blades and vanes for aerospace and energy applications. It has specialisms in various coatings required to protect components from extreme heat during operations in addition to some more conventional repair techniques.
The core business of TRT Ltd is the repair of turbine blades and vanes for Civil Aerospace and industrial gas turbine engines.

The Role:
* To carry out visual and dimensional inspection of a variety of components.
* To assess components for reparability.
* To inspect components to ensure conformity to Engine Manual Lists.
* To authorize changes to route cards.
* To raise and authorize rework documentation.
* To undertake any inspection task as trained to do so.
* To train colleagues as and when required to do so.
* To interpret and conform to "Route Card" and "Standard Data Card" instructions.
* To carry out routine maintenance on equipment to the required TPM/PPM standards.
* To ensure that supervision are informed of any problems or discrepancies as they arise.
* To liaise with colleagues to promote Team Working and to ensure a smooth hand over of work.
* To understand and work to TRT guidelines and observe all TRT policies.
* To understand and conform to all Quality requirements within TRT Limited.
* To understand and conform to all Health & Safety requirements within TRT Limited.
* To train and develop in NDT inspection techniques e.g. ultrasonic, airflow etc.
* Any other duties that may be required by the Company.
This role will report to the Chief Inspector.
In addition to these, the successful candidate will be required to understand and work to TRT guidelines and observe all TRT policies, including for health and safety.
Required
* Fluent IT skills – e.g., Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
* Good learning capability.
* Experience of using inspection tools, such as verniers, micrometers, gages etc.
* 6+ months Aerospace experience
* Experience with Gas Turbine Components (preferably blades and vanes)
Eyesight conformity to relevant Airworthiness Standards is mandatory for employment in this position.
Salary and Benefits:
This position is to work Monday to Friday alternating between mornings and afternoons. Morning shift is 06:00-14:00, afternoon shift if 14:00- 22:00.*
Starting Rate: £12.71 per hour + 15% shift premium during training (£14.62).
Rate once fully qualified: £13.68 per hour + 15% shift premium (£15.73).
