Job Title: Lead Sports Youth Worker
Hours: 16 hours per week
Pay Rate: £12.60 per hour
Location: Carrbridge Centre
The Lead Sports Youth Worker will take a key role in developing, coordinating, and delivering high-quality sports programmes for young people at Carrbridge Centre. The postholder will lead the planning and facilitation of sports-based youth work, manage the delivery of a sports development youth club, run weekly FA Wildcats sessions, and oversee the coordination of accredited training opportunities, including FA Referee Courses and Level One Coaching Courses. Main Duties & Responsibilities Programme Planning & Delivery
* Design, plan, and facilitate engaging sports sessions and youth club activities tailored to the needs and interests of young people.
* Ensure sessions are inclusive, safe, and promote the physical, social, and emotional wellbeing of participants.
* Incorporate youth voice and feedback into programme design and delivery.
Sports Development Youth Club & Wildcats
* Lead on the development and delivery of the sports development youth club, encouraging participation, teamwork, and personal growth.
* Coordinate and deliver weekly FA Wildcats sessions to provide fun, inclusive football opportunities for girls aged 5–11.
* Supervise and support sessional staff, volunteers, and external coaches where required.
Accredited Training Coordination
* Organise and coordinate FA Referee Courses and Level One Coaching Courses in partnership with external providers.
* Promote opportunities to young people and support them in accessing training and development pathways.
* Monitor and report on participant progress and outcomes.
Partnership & Community Engagement
* Work with local partners, schools, sports clubs, and community organisations to enhance opportunities for young people.
* Represent Carrbridge Centre at relevant meetings and events where appropriate.
Safeguarding, Health & Safety
* Ensure all activities comply with safeguarding policies, risk assessments, and health and safety requirements.
* Act as a positive role model, upholding professional standards at all times.
Person Specification Essential:
* Experience in youth work or sports development with young people.
* Strong organisational skills and ability to coordinate programmes and events.
* Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety in a youth/sports setting.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate young people.
