The rate of pay is: - Day rate £12.52 per hour - Night rate £15.65 per hour This role offers both full and part-time hours. Working on the following shift patterns: 4 on 4 off - working 2 days, 2 nights on rota, then 4 days off. The hours of work are: - 6am to 6pm - 6pm to 6am A minimum of 24 hours of work per week is required for this role. Applicants must be flexible to work both day and night shifts, including weekends (weekend nights are essential). Your Time at Work As a Bakery Operative you will be responsible for: - Operating production and warehouse machinery safely to produce, pack, label, and prepare products to required standards. - Picking, packing and fulfilling orders accurately, working efficiently across multiple departments. - Supporting despatch operations, including loading, scanning, and preparing goods for delivery. - Maintaining high hygiene and cleanliness standards, completing cleaning tasks and required documentation. - Working flexibly across different areas such as bakery production, picking, labelling, despatch, and general warehouse duties depending on business needs. Our Perfect Worker Our perfect worker will be flexible, adaptable, and show great attention to detail. You will be comfortable with warm areas, a noisy environment, and dusty conditions due to flour. Applicants will show strong health & safety awareness - following hygiene, safety, manual handling rules, and wear masks where required. You must have clear English communication skills and be able to understand and relay information quickly and safely. Experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential, as full training is provided.
