Position: Associate Solicitor - Personal Immigration

Job Type: Full-time, hybrid (3 office days, 2 WFH)

Location: Creative House, Chase Park, Daleside Rd, Nottingham NG2 4GT / Mindspace, 9 Appold Street, London, EC2A 2AP

Hours: 35 hours per week.

Salary: Dependant on experience

Start Date: May 2026

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated solicitor with a strong background in Personal Immigration law to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional client care and contributing to the development of colleagues within a supportive, forward-thinking environment.


You will play a key role in overseeing complex matters, supervising junior fee earners, and helping to drive our mission of providing outstanding immigration advice. The role is offered on a hybrid basis, with flexibility to work from either our London or Nottingham office.


As an Associate Solicitor, you will bring significant expertise in Personal Immigration, alongside a strong commitment to quality, compliance and mentoring others. You will manage your own caseload from initial instruction through to conclusion, supervise junior team members, and help support a culture of continuous learning, wellbeing and excellence across the team.


This role is well suited to someone who is both technically strong and supportive in nature, with the ability to guide and develop others while maintaining high professional standards.


Key Responsibilities:

* Manage a complex and varied caseload from instruction to completion
* Prepare high‑quality legal representations and conduct in‑depth research
* Take full ownership of all procedural steps on allocated matters
* Explain complex legal issues to clients clearly and confidently
* Maintain exceptional accuracy, analytical skill and attention to detail
* Ensure full compliance with regulatory, professional and internal requirements
* Supervise and support junior fee earners, including paralegals and trainees
* Provide constructive feedback on drafting, research and case preparation
* Review junior colleagues’ work to ensure high standards and compliance
* Mentor and guide team members, helping to embed consistent best practice
* Act as a point of support on more complex or challenging matters
* Deliver outstanding client care throughout the lifecycle of each case
* Convert a high proportion of enquiries into paying clients
* Complete file management and administrative tasks to a high standard
* Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, compliance and excellence


Qualifications & Experience

* Qualified solicitor with a clear practising certificate
* Minimum 5 years’ direct experience in Personal Immigration law
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Experience supervising or mentoring junior fee earners (formal or informal)
* Proven track record of delivering exceptional client care
