Overview
As a member of the Health and Safety team, the SHE Manager/Hybrid role will partner with the Project Director, Subject Matter Experts, and workforce to provide strategic support and implementation of the company's Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) programs. This position reports directly to the Project Director with a dotted line to the SHE Business Unit Director. The office will be based in Bristol, UK.
Responsibilities
* Deploy strategic improvements and initiatives to continually enhance SHE management systems and align them with project responsibilities to improve HSE management.
* Support project teams at all levels to implement Element's best practices and new procedures.
* Coach and guide all levels to develop effective working methods, emphasizing learning and development.
* Develop, source, implement, and administer organizational SHE policies, programs, practices, and procedures.
* Increase SHE awareness through audits and assessments to identify gaps and develop programs to address them.
* Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
* Collaborate with external consultants to review and improve SHE program effectiveness in risk mitigation.
Skills / Qualifications
* Responsible for executing a company-focused SHE program.
* Partner with project teams to identify SHE concerns, opportunities, and gaps, providing solutions.
* Develop and deliver SHE training and programs based on organizational needs.
* Create processes to track the effectiveness of safety programs.
* Support regulatory compliance across locations.
* Advise and assist in identifying SHE improvement opportunities.
* Report on SHE management system performance and ensure effective communication.
* Support incident investigations and partner with insurance carriers for worker compensation and claims management.
* Promote the development of a safety culture aligned with company principles and values.
