People Business Partner – Atlas Real Estate Agency

We are looking for an experienced, proactive, and forward‑thinking HR professional to support approximately 12 care homes across the Sunderland/County Durham area. The role involves providing strategic advice and operational support to leadership teams while balancing HR functions across the region. A car allowance is included to support the travel required.


Key Responsibilities

* Coach and guide leadership teams on all people‑related activities to enable effective people decisions.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of the Company’s People Plan within the regions/homes.
* Act as an ambassador for cultural change, engagement, and retention initiatives, supporting the Company’s purpose, pillars, and values.
* Partner with the ER Team to resolve Employee Relations activities and mitigate business risks.
* Support ER, Talent, Pay, and Reward Teams with People Policies and Procedures, providing improvement suggestions based on feedback.
* Identify internal and external trends, monitor people metrics and best practice to influence business decisions and drive continuous improvement.
* Collaborate with wider HR teams to develop local succession & talent plans and agree on actions for implementation.
* Manage, coach, and develop the People and Development Leads, ensuring effective delivery of the People Plan across the group of homes.


Qualifications

* Relevant experience within a generalist HR/People role driving change across an assigned business area.
* CIPD qualified or equivalent experience.
* Proven application of current Employment Law practices.
* Demonstrable support for complex Employee Relations issues.
* Ability to lead and advise on cultural change.
* Understanding of regulations within a regulated environment.
* Experience delivering training and people‑related projects.
