Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled SMT Operator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining surface mount technology (SMT) equipment to assemble electronic components. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as proficiency in using hand and power tools. The SMT Operator will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our production processes.
Duties
* Operate SMT machinery to assemble electronic components accurately and efficiently.
* Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting on SMT equipment to ensure optimal performance.
* Assemble components according to specifications, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for assembly tasks.
* Collaborate with team members to optimise production workflows and resolve any issues that arise during the assembly process.
* Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
* Document production processes and report any discrepancies or defects in components.
Requirements
* Proven experience in operating SMT machinery is preferred.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand logic controllers and electrical systems.
* Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
* Familiarity with surface mount technology processes is highly desirable.
* Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
