We’re seeking a Registered Manager to oversee a small, well-established respite service for adults with learning disabilities in the Shrewsbury area. This is a rewarding role where you’ll lead a dedicated team to provide short breaks that are safe, enjoyable, and person-centred.
Key Responsibilities of a Registered Manager
* Oversee the day-to-day management of the service
* Inspire and support staff to deliver high-quality, individualised care
* Liaise with families, social workers, and other professionals to ensure seamless support
* Maintain compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements (including CQC standards)
* Manage budgets, staffing rotas, audits, and care planning effectively
* Promote a positive, inclusive environment where the people we support can thrive
Registered Manager Requirements
* A strong understanding of the needs and rights of people with learning disabilities
* Previous management experience within a care or support setting
* A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards it)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* The ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team
* Confidence managing complex situations and resolving conflict sensitively
