We’re seeking a Registered Manager to oversee a small, well-established respite service for adults with learning disabilities in the Shrewsbury area. This is a rewarding role where you’ll lead a dedicated team to provide short breaks that are safe, enjoyable, and person-centred.
Key Responsibilities of a Registered Manager
1. Oversee the day-to-day management of the service
2. Inspire and support staff to deliver high-quality, individualised care
3. Liaise with families, social workers, and other professionals to ensure seamless support
4. Maintain compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements (including CQC standards)
5. Manage budgets, staffing rotas, audits, and care planning effectively
6. Promote a positive, inclusive environment where the people we support can thrive
Registered Manager Requirements:
7. A strong understanding of the needs and rights of people with learning disabilities
8. Previous management experience within a care or support setting
9. A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards it)
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
11. The ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team
12. Confidence managing complex situations and resolving conflict sensitively
