The Claims Manager role involves overseeing high-value, complex, and often litigated professional liability claims against insurance intermediaries such as brokers and MGAs. The position requires providing expert legal and technical advice, assessing liability, coordinating with policy holders and external counsel, and ensuring the efficient resolution of disputes. It also includes keeping underwriters informed, monitoring legal and industry developments, contributing to risk management initiatives, and participating in internal meetings to review major claims. Candidates should bring extensive experience handling complex professional indemnity claims within the insurance industry or private practice, ideally involving the defence of insurance intermediaries.
